Don't Just Watch — Act!
Citizens often feel they have little influence when it comes to trees. This is not true. While we cannot currently ban the mass replacement of mature trees with saplings, there are many ways to help those that remain. And, most importantly — to instill in residents a caring attitude towards them.
Roots were visibly damaged during excavation. This violates the statutory protection zone.
Builders damaged the tree bark. It must be shielded by protective guards.
Burning leaves is prohibited. They must be collected and removed for disposal.
There should be no foreign objects attached to the tree. The city is actively removing them.
If a tree is missing on a sidewalk, you can plant one there. We will help.
Help populate the tree map to monitor their health.
