Report bark damage caused during construction

If you witness construction works that go close to tree trunks, where there is a risk of bark damage, or if there is already some bark damage visible, please report this to the Ministry of Environment via the e-request.am website using this message template.

This damage significantly reduces tree's health and is usually fatal. Most trees cannot recover from this, they often decline and dry out.

These activities are strictly regulated by city law to protect Yerevan's greenery. The Council of Elders Resolution № 405-N (clause 7.11) requires rigid physical protection for all trees on a construction site, to prevent such damage. There should be a wooden or metal box around each tree. Violation of this regulation is subject to fines of 50,000 to 150,000 AMD per site.
